The beauty of working with a raw slab of timber is ‘its’ ability to be your designer. Often, the shape and contour of a slab will become the inspiration for the final piece.

G’day, My name is Luke Brooks, creator and craftsmen of LB the Maker.

After 7 years of creative studies including Visual Art, Design and Props fabrication, it was Arts Fabrication where my career began. Several years in this industry boosted my array of skills with machinery and ability for fabrication in an array of materials. This included Woodwork, metalwork, plastics, mechanics, electronics, sculpture, moulding and casting, scenic painting, and everything weird and wonderful in between.

All along this path I rarely had a hand in my own creations, instead I was fabricating for other designers.

With a decision to go it alone through LB The Maker, my passion for design, art and fabrication has come to life, combining my love for creating bespoke furniture and the true beauty of raw timbers.

So get in touch, and let’s get making.

“Luke took our vision and created something even more incredible than we could have imagined. We had old rafters from our roof after a recent renovation and wanted to add some history from the old part of the house into our new home. Luke reworked the rafters and created timber shelves for our kitchen and laundry.

The finish of the shelves is incredible.”
